Penile Curvature / Peyronie's Disease

Diagnosis:

Penis deviation upon erection associated with firm plaque

Management prior to referral:

There is little value in imaging tests
Treat ED that may be associated.
There is no effective medical/drug therapy for Peyronies
Ask patient to bring a photo of erect penis on an electronic device to appointment

Referral:

Surgery is usually reserved for those in whom intercourse is impossible as penile shortening and sensation loss typically results.

Consider referring men with associated ED and who seek another discussion before accepting the implications of the disease

Exclude penile cancer
