NHS Hand Surgery Providers In Cornwall
RCHT provides assessment and treatment of all hand and wrist conditions at Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske), Camborne Redruth Hospital and West Cornwall Hospital. Paediatric outpatients are held at RCHT (Treliske) and Bodmin Hospital. RCHT also provides specialist hand therapy.
Probus Surgery provide local anaesthetic surgery for patients over 18 with:
- Carpal Tunnel
- Trigger finger
- Dupytren's
- Mucoid cyst
- Ganglion
DuchyHospital provides surgery for patients of 18 or over with a BMI under 40 for:
- Carpal tunnel
- Trigger finger
- Excision of swelling in fingers
- Dupytrens contracture
ACCESSING SPLINTS
Request Form– Send paper copy to appliance department at Treliske
Request for splints can go direct to appliance department if you are able to decide which size splint is appropriate OR pt can be assessed & have splint requested through physiotherapy
- Wrist splint for carpal tunnel– specify small/ medium/ large/ x large & left/ right
- Thumb spica– for OA / DeQuervains - specify small/ medium/ large/ x large & left/ right
- Tennis elbow splint– measure around forearm & specify left / right
