The Patient Transport Service is for patients who are unable to get to their appointments because they have a medical need for transport.
It is for patients who are assessed as needing special support or assistance during the journey to their healthcare appointment.

• If your appointment is at Royal Cornwall NHS Trust, call 01872 253702
• If your appointment is at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, call 01752 763511

Responsibility for arranging NHS funded transport to other hospitals or healthcare sites varies but has not changed, and must be authorised / booked by a healthcare professional and meet the 'medical need' criteria.
